Default Just a photoshop question

Trying to sharpen my skills again. When the black and white designs are being made, is it the threshold adjustment that gets the pics to look like that? Whats the best type of lighting to get the best threshold result? Thanks

If you're taking an image and you want to create it into a design that's black and white, you'll want to create a threshold layer... Your image will appear with a super high black and white contrast and you'll usually want to set it around 245.

you can usually mess with either the levels or curves which is under the adjustments in photoshop.

You'll just have to mess around with the adjustment bars until you get what you want!

Hopefully this little bit helps, I haven't done design in photoshop in a while, I usually do it in Adobe Illustrator.
