THE SAD PART: August 2007
The car was "borrowed" by a former friend, and sustained severe mechanical damage. He is currently dealing with this in court. I got the damage repaired by the dealer, put the car back to stock and sold it.
Its last pics, with unpainted molded reiger in the front. With my moms old 2001 Outback Sedan :P



September 2007: The day the part out began


And it began because.....

THE NEW: 2003 Jetta GLI
The two next to each other, which lasted about 2 weeks. I had to keep the old car because I needed to use stock parts off the new one to put it back to stock. And being in debt to my mom for $15K for those 2 weeks was scary

Early Decmeber 2007: ANOTHER SAD PART
So im driving home in the snow, going slow because Im on summer tires still (hadnt gotten my winter wheels yet, trade was in the works). Some **** in a pickup truck decides to try to pass me on a curved part of the one lane road I was on. He started to slide toward me, and to avoid having the bed of his truck coming through my drivers window, I swerved into the curb. He didnt even stop. Ended up crubing the living **** out of one of the RCs, and sustaining some sort of major steering/suspension damage. The dealer couldnt find the issue, and wanted to replace virtually ALL of the front suspnsion and steering components, including the coilover on the passenger side. They didnt ACTUALLY know what was bent/broken, thats just their policy when they cant figure it out.
So I went to Sleepers Performance, where they got it back to better than it was before

Alive once again, but now in Winter mode. Sideskirts on.

Then there was that time I picked up a free mk3 and parted it out. I would have fixed it and registered it but there was no title.
Two years of sitting outside under a tree = mildew

Summer 2008:
Finally rolled the fenders and dropped it down a tiny bit more to get the stance where I wanted it.


Then there was Dubs at the Beach, where I got a chance to meet and hang out with a lot of you guys



So there you have it, my progress so far.
Theres been good and bad times, but its been worth it. Theres a lot more planned for the future.

Im thinking right now that my car is going to look very different by the next Dubs on Defrost
I MAY have a few changes for H2O (wheels at the very least), but theres much more to come.
Im going to be doing a bit more bodywork, not sure when to start it though. Im going to be away at school 99% of the time starting August 16th until late next spring, so its gonna be hard to coordinate things. Not sure if I want my car in an unfinished state for H2O though...
